The Abel & Imray electronics, ICT and physics team is a multi-disciplinary practice group with expertise and technical understanding across all fields of physics, optics, electronics and ICT.
Attorneys in the team have particular technical expertise in telecommunications (including digital signal processing, channel coding and encryption, mobile phones, signal cabling connectors, ADSL and network switches), optics-related technologies (including lasers, optical fibres, photonic devices and optoelectronic materials), semiconductor technologies, sensors, control systems, analogue and digital circuitry, 3D image capture, and image processing.
The team also has considerable experience of advising clients in relation to the patentability of computer software, business methods and other subject matter for which difficult patentability issues arise.
The electronics, ICT and physics team carries out work for some of the leading global corporations in this subject matter area, and also handles work for a number of UK universities and other academic institutions, as well as various spin-out companies.
