The Abel & Imray Electronics ICT and Physics Group is a multi-disciplinary practice group with expertise and competence across all fields of physics, optics, electronics and ICT.
Attorneys in the Group have particular technical expertise in telecommunications (including digital signal processing, channel coding and encryption, mobile phones, signal cabling connectors, ADSL and network switches), optics-related technologies (including lasers, optical fibres, photonic devices and optoelectronic materials), semiconductor technologies, sensors, control systems, analogue and digital circuitry, 3D image capture, and image processing.
The Group also has considerable experience of advising clients in relation to the patentability of computer software, business methods and other subject matter for which difficult patentability issues arise.
The Electronics and Physics Group carries out work for some of the leading global corporations in this subject matter area, and also handles work for a number of UK universities and other academic institutions, as well as various spin-out companies.
We have an in-house translation department which has particular expertise in the translation of texts relating to subject matter in this technical area.
