Careers in Translations

International trainees
Language graduates specialising in German are required from time to time for our international department; subsidiary French is preferred. Candidates must in general have, or be expected to obtain, a First or Upper Second Class Honours degree.

Work & training
Our international department translates patent specifications of very varied subject matter, as well as other scientific and technical literature. The majority of translation work is from German into English, although the department also translates from French to English. As well as linguistic ability, the work demands precision and attention to detail, and often the ability to work to tight deadlines. Specialist training is given in house.
