Our philosophy is to provide our clients with a tailored service that meets the needs of the client.  By UK standards, we are a medium- to large-sized firm.  Our size suits us and our clients well.  We are large enough to provide depth and breadth of experience and the ability to take on all aspects of IP work no matter how complicated the law or subject matter, yet still small enough that a flexible approach on any given matter can be taken, so that our clients can get the type of service they want.

We work for all types of clients ranging from multi-nationals down to start-ups and academic institutions and from those familiar with IP, such as in-house IP departments and foreign attorney firms, to those seeking more of a hands-on approach to guide and advise them on their IP needs. Many of our established clients have been working with us for over half a century. This loyalty reflects the firm's commitment to providing clients with the service they expect and want.

Having high professional standards does not in our opinion require an overly formal working relationship of the sort that has traditionally been the norm as between attorney and client.  We aim to make working with us an enjoyable and pleasant experience and not a chore. Whilst IP issues can be incredibly complicated and intellectually challenging, dealing with your patent or trade mark attorney should not be.
